Lawncraft

Privacy Policy

Lawncraft is made by Drexel Labs LLC ("we"). This policy explains what the Lawncraft app does with your information. In short: your lawn data stays on your iPhone, the photos you choose to identify are analyzed and not kept, and we do not track you.

Data on your device

Your lawns, zones, maps, care records, products, notes, and photos are stored on your iPhone. Lawncraft has no accounts and does not send this data to us. Deleting the app deletes it.

Location

With your permission, Lawncraft uses your location while the app is open to place a new lawn on the map. Address search and maps use Apple's MapKit.

Lawncraft requests weather for each lawn's location from Apple WeatherKit. Apple's privacy policy covers that request. We do not receive your location.

Photo identification

When you ask Lawncraft to identify a weed, pest, or turf problem, the photos you choose are sent to our server. Before upload the app re-encodes each photo, which removes its location and other metadata.

Our server forwards the photos to an AI model to identify what they show. Today that is a Google Gemini model reached through OpenRouter. We route these requests only to providers that keep no copy of the data and do not use it for training.

• Our server does not store your photos or the identification results.
• The request also carries random identifiers for the lawn and zone. They are not sent to the AI provider and reveal nothing about you.
• Identification results are saved on your iPhone with the photos.

Device verification

To limit identification requests and prevent abuse, Lawncraft uses Apple's App Attest to prove that requests come from a genuine copy of the app. App Attest creates a key on your device. Our server stores that key's identifier with a count of the identifications it has used. The identifier is not linked to your name, Apple Account, or any other information about you.

Server logs

Our server is reached through Cloudflare. For each request it logs the time, the path, the response status, and how long the request took, and keeps those logs for 30 days. These logs do not contain your IP address, photos, or results. To rate-limit device verification, our server stores a one-way hash of your IP address, never the address itself.

Other network requests

Lawncraft downloads product label PDFs from our server. These downloads send no information about you.

Reminders are scheduled on your iPhone with local notifications and do not pass through our server.

What we do not do

• No advertising, analytics, or tracking.
• We do not sell or share your information with data brokers.
• No third-party SDKs that collect data.

Children

Lawncraft is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update it here and change the effective date above.
